Science is important for advancement yet fewer youths are pursuing science and engineering degrees in college. How
does one overcome this? An interest in science needs to be cultivated early in life. With today's curriculum, high
school seniors pursuing a science based college degree should take science classes throughout high school. And to
make them aware of and thus interested in taking these high school classes, their curiosity needs to have been
generated at the middle school and/or junior high level.
The Harvey L. Foster Foundation for Science Education strives to create this fascination in science through a
variety of means. As you look through our website, you will learn about the areas we are impacting. The Foundation
is always looking for new ideas to create this excitement and ways for you to become involved. So contact us and
become a sponsor, donate some time, donate lab equipment, or become an idea generator. All help is welcome.
